Touch Me

Feeling alone
On a foggy morning
Cut off from all
But your cup of milky coffee?

Touch me
Through the keys
I'm there
Waiting
Fingers reaching out
Too

Fearing that no one cares
No one is listening
That you'll never break through?

Touch me
Through words of softness
Anger
Cursing
Ranting
Even resigned acceptance
Laughter
I'm listening for you.

Don't be alone today
Touch me
Trust me, I'm here.

  1. Touch me

    Purity and pain

    Desires and nightmares

Heart beats echo the rhythm of my soul

Seeing through the trick I finally get it…

    Do you?

  2. Wow. I love this.
    And I love Shakespeare.

  3. This is exactly how I feel about our virtual relationships built here. I think without them, I might never share my writing with anyone at all.

  4. Jeff, I'm not sure where you're going... or what the "trick" is...

Joe, you are right. We are both Shakespeare fans, it seems.

That is exactly what I was feeling, Karen. Sometimes it's the only connection I have with others in a given day.

  5. Hello fellow Pisces Person! I quite agree, it's good to know a tap of the keys can join minds regardless as to how far the spaces between them are in the real world...
