I must just hate the traditional 1,667 words per day that come up for NaNoWriMo, for I've put off writing the novel for five days just so that I can finish this other short story.
But it's done, just in time for my daily word count (to be a winner) to add up to an even 2,000 words per day.
Thank God. If there's a number I hate, it's 1,667.
Now I'm off to outline, without having an unfinished short story hanging over my head.
Good luck with NaNoWrimo this year!
ReplyDeleteIt's only 2000 words a day. You can do that between cups of coffee. Get to it!
ReplyDeleteWay to go!
ReplyDelete2,000 words a day is awesome.
You still have plenty of time.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, I'm having an easy time of it this year. Last year, was just the pits for me. Didn't even make it half way last year.
Good luck... Glad you're ready to get started.
Lou
Hahahaha! I love that the 2000 sounds better to you than the 1667! Best of luck with it! You can totally do it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Barbara! Despite the delay, I'm off to a good start... I feel like I'm falling in love with my story, too...
ReplyDeleteYes, Walking Man and Project Savior, I think 2,000 words a day works better for me. Even with my diminished math capabilities, it's easy to know when I've met my mark (and how far I have left to go).
I'm glad it's going well for you this year, Lou. Mine's already feeling better than it did last year, and I know I'm not going to be spending the second half of the month going anywhere. I might just make it this year!
Thanks, Peggy!
found your blog here - know a few folks involved in the NanoWriMo - I am not one of them, but can cheer you on!
